Here is a demonstrative example of how you can use OTTOPATHS! 1.0
to create original graphics for your prints and web pages.
OttoPaths from HumanSoftware is a very handy tool for all paths and type manipulations. You extend the power of your paths toolbox within Photoshop.... HOW????
1. From any image, launch OttoPaths inside the Select menu of Photoshop 4/5
2. OttoPaths gives you the power to create and manipulate all kind of shapes. From the path toolbox, we select the ellipse and create one around the crab. This new path will be the guide for the text which will flow around...
3. Put the text in position, you can flow interactively on top of the background image . You can change the flow direction or adjust the spacing in between characters...
4. The text comes as an outline font... ready for any kind of geometrical distortion. OttoPaths enables warping on paths. We will create five stars and wrap them inside the double ellipses.
5. When it comes to fill and use the new paths we can come back to Photoshop. We select the option : Path.
and we collect a new working path...
6. It is easy to convert the Paths to Selections, perform color Fills, Adjustments or Stroke...
